I mentioned this blog idea and title to a good friend who prodded me on, so
here it is. Who can't relate? Especially if, like me, you started noticing the increasing number of items amassing at your bedside upon hitting 50. . .
Now, no matter your age, you most likely have your little go-to's. The lotions, potions, tinctures, salves, rollerballs and more to get you through this exhausting, stress-filled pandemic, with a little election mayhem thrown in. It's all been a lot!
I'd like to share a few items that are working for me, some very inexpensive, others not-so, but worth it in the long run.
CBDevotion's Cannabis Crystal Sugar Scrub was gifted to me by my sister who features it in The Green Spot, an amazing nursery and antique shop in Alamosa, Co. Wow, the wonderful lemongrass scent, the scrub itself and then the perfect amount of oil that pat into your skin in after the bath or shower all work to help lift the spirits after a rough day. At $48, I would've never purchased this, but now I can honestly say it's gonna be at least an annual treat! (A little can go a long way.) So grateful for the gift. Thanks, Ruth!
They also make a honey exfoliator that is both a facial cleanser and mask. Plus, when you lick your lips in the shower it's like a fruity honey explosion happening in your mouth.
Intensive gardening put a strain on my wrists, thumbs and fingers. Sesame oil is doing wonders. Quick absorption into the skin and anti-inflammatory properties make sesame oil great for joint pain. Of course, leave it to sis to share another great product, WholeBody Breath Essential oil, a wonderful blend of essentials oils such as eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint and more. Adding this product to the sesame oil gives my fingers relief; the lingering scents soothe, refresh and relax.
What are your favorite stress or pain relief products you use or have discovered since the pandemic hit? Please, leave your favorites in the comments. Store bought, home remedy, secret discovery of your own, would love to hear about them.
NOTE: At the conception of this blog, the pandemic was of course always looming. Now, upon posting, the surge is here and worsening. I can't fail to stress the need to take care of yourself so that you can help take care of others.

Almost out of sugar scrub! That lasted a long time.
